Design and Construction

The rifle begins with a forged steel receiver machined from a solid block of steel. This foundation is bedded with two-part epoxy at the front and rear, ensuring the action remains stable and consistent shot after shot. The flat bottom profile of the receiver provides greater surface area for bedding, contributing to the rifle's inherent accuracy.

The Controlled Round Feed Advantage

The Pre-'64 style Controlled Round Feed (CRF) system features a massive claw extractor that secures approximately one-quarter of the cartridge base. This design maintains full control of the round from the magazine through chambering and extraction. Even unfired cartridges can be extracted if not fully chambered—a reliability feature that matters in the field.

Trigger and Safety

The MOA Trigger System represents the most precise three-lever trigger mechanism available, delivering crisp, predictable breaks. The three-position safety is conveniently operated with your firing hand thumb, lifting the firing pin away from the sear.

Barrel and Accuracy

The cold hammer-forged, free-floating barrel features a recessed target crown and polished blued finish. Button rifling ensures superior accuracy and durability throughout the rifle's service life.

Stock and Furniture

The Grade IV/V fancy walnut stock showcases beautiful grain with a shadowline cheekpiece that positions your eye in perfect alignment with your scope. Highly polished, deeply-blued steel surfaces complement the wood. The one-piece steel bottom metal floorplate adds rigidity to both stock and action. Engraved hinged floorplate, jeweled bolt body, and knurled bolt handle add refined details. Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and sling swivel studs complete the package.
