Browning Citori Gran Lightning: Championship-Grade Over/Under Shotgun
The Citori Gran Lightning represents the pinnacle of Browning's shotgun craftsmanship, combining elegant aesthetics with proven mechanical reliability. This 12-gauge over/under is built for shooters who demand both performance and beauty in the field or at the clay course.
Design & Construction
The Citori's strength comes from its transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt system. This bolt engages a full-width tapered recess in the rear barrel lugs, while the hinge pin extends completely across the receiver for maximum strength and durability. The result is a firearm that handles thousands of rounds while maintaining its zero and reliability.
Barrel & Choke System
- 28-inch ventilated rib barrels with polished blued finish
- Chrome-plated chambers resist wear from repeated shooting
- Invector-Plus extended chokes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder included)
- Back-bore technology for improved patterns and reduced recoil
Handling & Controls
The Gran Lightning features a convenient barrel selector that allows you to choose which barrel fires on the first trigger pull—the second pull fires the remaining barrel. Automatic ejectors eject fired shells when you open the breech and elevate unfired shells for easy removal. The Triple Trigger system ensures crisp, consistent trigger breaks.
Aesthetics
The polished blued engraved receiver features gold accents that catch the light beautifully. The American black walnut stock with lightning-style grip provides both comfort and classic appeal. An ivory bead sight aids target acquisition.
