The Ruger American Rifle Gen II represents a thoughtful evolution in modern rifle design, combining practical features with genuine accuracy potential. Barrel and Action

The 20-inch medium contour barrel features deep spiral fluting that reduces muzzle-end weight while maintaining barrel stiffness and accuracy. A factory-installed radial port muzzle brake is cold hammer-forged for ultra-precise rifling. The threaded barrel accommodates suppressors or other muzzle devices, giving you flexibility for your shooting setup.

The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with the familiar three-lug design and 70-degree throw, providing ample scope clearance and smooth operation. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation, and the 5/16"-24 thread pattern allows easy replacement if desired.

Trigger and Accuracy

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds—letting you dial in the feel that works best for your shooting style. The patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy.

A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is ready for your optics.

Stock and Controls

The gray splatter synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. The soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius on the heel for comfortable shouldering and progressive collapse to reduce felt recoil. An installed low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics but can be removed for low-mounted sights. Removing the installed spacer allows length-of-pull adjustment from 13.75" to 12".

The intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt, preventing inadvertent opening while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.

Finish and Details

Professionally applied Cerakote coating on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle delivers a durable, easy-to-maintain finish that resists corrosion and wear.

Includes one magazine and steel sling swivel studs. An optional stock weight kit (available separately) adds up to 1.6 pounds to improve balance when using heavier muzzle devices.
