Savage Model 2020 Waypoint: Precision Engineered for Demanding Shooters
The Savage Model 2020 Waypoint represents the pinnacle of modern rifle design, delivering the accuracy and performance you'd expect from a custom-grade firearm. This is a rifle built by shooters, for shooters—with every component selected to enhance reliability and precision.
Superior Accuracy and Construction
Savage backs this rifle with a 0.75 MOA accuracy guarantee, a claim few manufacturers make. The foundation is a 100% carbon fiber stock and barrel, providing the strength of steel with significantly reduced weight. This combination delivers the rigidity necessary for consistent accuracy while keeping the rifle manageable in the field.
Refined Bolt Design
The heart of any rifle is its bolt, and Savage has engineered theirs with precision:
- Dual locking lugs ensure secure lockup and repeatable engagement
- Fluted design reduces weight without sacrificing strength
- EDM raceways provide ultra-smooth bolt travel
- Optimized extraction cam handles extraction reliably in any condition
- Dual cocking cams reduce effort and improve ergonomics
- Toolless disassembly simplifies field maintenance
Trigger and Controls
The rifle features a TriggerTech trigger with Frictionless Release Technology, delivering a clean, predictable break. The low-profile, non-snag safety keeps the rifle ready while remaining secure.
