The Modern Bullpup Redefined
The Kel-Tec RDB Defender represents a significant departure from conventional bullpup design. This rifle delivers genuine 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington ballistic capability in a remarkably compact package without sacrificing usability or ergonomics.
Key Features
- Fully Ambidextrous Design: Patented downward-ejection system keeps brass clear of your face regardless of shooting hand. Reversible operating handle and ambidextrous safety accommodate both left and right-handed shooters equally.
- Compact Platform: The bullpup configuration delivers a 16-inch barrel in an overall length that rivals much shorter rifles, making it ideal for confined spaces, vehicles, or close-quarters work.
- Intuitive Controls: The safety lever is positioned for natural thumb operation, and the magazine catch placement is logical and accessible.
- Modular Handguard: M-LOK slots throughout the handguard provide multiple mounting points for lights, lasers, and other accessories.
- Collapsible Stock: Adjust length of pull to fit your frame and shooting style.
- Pencil Profile Barrel: A lighter, faster-handling barrel profile that still delivers reliable accuracy.
Why It Matters
The RDB Defender proves that bullpup rifles don't have to be difficult to operate or limited to right-handed shooters. This is a genuinely accessible platform for anyone seeking compact rifle performance.
