The Patrol model represents Ruger's commitment to delivering a rifle that performs as well as it looks. Built on the proven American Rifle Generation II platform, this 7mm PRC rifle combines practical features with genuine accuracy potential.

Barrel and Action

The 20-inch bull contour barrel is cold hammer-forged, a process that ensures ultra-precise rifling and exceptional longevity. The threaded muzzle accepts suppressors and other muzzle devices, with a factory-installed thread protector included. The Graphite Black Cerakote finish on the barrel, receiver, bolt handle, and thread protector provides a durable, low-maintenance coating that resists corrosion and wear.

Accuracy and Handling

Ruger's patented Power Bedding system features an integral bedding block that positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel—a proven approach to achieving consistent accuracy. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds, allowing you to dial in the feel that works best for your shooting style.

The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with the familiar three-lug design and 70-degree throw, providing ample scope clearance and smooth operation. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation in the field.

Stock and Ergonomics

The black splatter-finished synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. The soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius heel for easy shouldering and progressive collapse that reduces felt recoil. Length of pull adjusts from 13.75" to 12" by removing the installed spacer, with additional spacers available for refined fit. The installed low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics and can be removed for low-mounted sights.

Controls and Safety

The intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt, preventing inadvertent opening while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged. A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is ready for your optics.
