Brenneke Short Mag 12-Gauge Slug Ammunition

Brenneke Short Mag Slug Ammunition

The Brenneke Short Mag represents a refined approach to 12-gauge slug ammunition, engineered for hunters and sport shooters who demand reliable, hard-hitting performance.

Key Features

• Caliber & Specifications: 12-gauge, 2¾" shell length
• Projectile Weight: 1¼ ounces (525 grains)
• Velocity: 450 feet per second
• Design: Weight-forward construction for superior penetration

Performance Characteristics

The Short Mag slug features a lead point with directional ribs that guide the projectile smoothly through various choke tubes—a critical consideration for reliable cycling and accuracy. The patented rear section slides into the point upon impact, creating a controlled expansion that maximizes energy transfer to the target.

This weight-forward design delivers genuine penetration capability. Testing has demonstrated reliable performance through vehicles, doors, and structural barriers—attributes valued by hunters pursuing large game and those responsible for property defense.

Practical Considerations

The 2¾" shell length makes these rounds compatible with standard 12-gauge shotguns, including those with shorter chambers. The consistent 450 fps velocity provides predictable ballistics for accurate shooting at typical hunting ranges.

Each box contains five rounds, with 50 boxes per case for those stocking up for the season.
