Free-standing four-person tent with dual-pole fiberglass frame, factory-sealed seams, and two vestibules for gear storage. Weighs 10.5 lbs with 64 sq ft of interior space.
The Taurus is a capable four-person shelter designed for backpackers and car campers who demand reliable weather protection without excessive weight. This free-standing design requires no stakes or guy lines to stand—a practical advantage when camping on hard ground or rocky terrain.
The tent employs a straightforward two-pole fiberglass frame with easy-to-use pole clips for assembly. The fly is constructed from 75D 185T polyester with a 1500mm waterproof coating and factory-sealed seams, protecting against UV degradation and sustained rain. The floor uses heavier 75D 185T poly taffeta with a 2000mm coating—a sensible choice for puncture resistance and moisture barrier performance.
Two full-size doors with zippered mesh windows provide flexibility in entry points and allow cross-ventilation. The dual vestibules offer 25 square feet of protected storage space—enough for packs, boots, and wet gear. Mesh panels and pop-up vents work together to manage condensation, while interior mesh storage pockets and a gear loft keep small items organized.
An optional footprint is available to extend floor life and add ground insulation. This tent suits three-season camping and works well for established campsites where its footprint and weight are less critical than durability and livable space.
