Weatherby Orion Matte 12 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun
Classic over/under shotgun with matte blue finish and Turkish walnut stock. Features automatic ejectors, low-profile receiver, and 28-inch chrome-lined barrels. Includes three interchangeable chokes for versatile field and clay shooting.
The Weatherby Orion: A Refined Over/Under for the Serious Shotgunner
The Weatherby Orion Matte represents a thoughtful approach to shotgun design—one that prioritizes both function and aesthetics without unnecessary complexity. This 12-gauge over/under is equally at home in the upland fields or at the clay range.
Design and Handling
The low-profile receiver creates a natural mounting point, allowing shooters to acquire targets quickly and smoothly. The slim action employs sliding locking bars positioned above the automatic ejectors, resulting in less bulk than many competing designs. This refined profile contributes to the gun's balanced handling and swift target acquisition.
Practical Features
- Automatic ejectors throw empty hulls clear of the chamber for rapid reloading
- Ambidextrous tang safety and barrel selector allow right- or left-handed shooters to choose which barrel to fire based on the bird presentation
- Chrome-lined barrels enhance durability and simplify maintenance
- 3-inch chamber accommodates standard and magnum loads
- Vent rib with brass front sight aids in target acquisition
- Three interchangeable chokes (Improved Cylinder, Modified, Full) provide flexibility for different hunting and shooting scenarios
