The Safest Introduction to Rifle Shooting
The Savage Rascal represents a fundamental truth about firearms: safety and accuracy go hand in hand. Designed specifically for younger shooters and beginners, this single-shot .22 LR rifle eliminates the confusion and danger of traditional firearm operation.
Safety First
The Rascal's design philosophy prioritizes safe handling at every step:
- Cock by lifting the bolt — no separate cocking lever or confusing safety procedures
- Unload without pulling the trigger — simply open the action and remove the round
- Manual safety — positive, intuitive control
- Single-shot operation — one round at a time, eliminating magazine complications
Built for Skill Development
This rifle teaches proper shooting fundamentals because it incorporates full-size rifle features:
- Adjustable peep sights — precision aiming that builds consistency
- Savage AccuTrigger — user-adjustable without gunsmith assistance, providing crisp release with zero creep
- Feed ramp — smooth, reliable feeding
- 11.25" length of pull — proportioned for younger shooters
