Sierra MatchKing 6.5mm 140-Grain Bullets

The 6.5mm cartridge has experienced a remarkable resurgence in popularity, with modern rifle manufacturers and a new generation of shooters discovering the capabilities of this classic Scandinavian design. Whether you're shooting a contemporary 6.5x55mm sporter or a modern magnum variant, Sierra's 140-grain MatchKing bullets deliver the precision performance that competitive shooters demand.

Performance Characteristics

Accuracy and Range: These bullets are engineered for exceptional accuracy at distances extending to 1000 yards. They perform exceptionally well in medium- and high-capacity 6.5mm cartridges, making them the preferred choice for:

• Competitive HighPower rifle matches
• Silhouette competitions
• Long-range precision shooting
• Target and benchrest applications

Design and Construction

Sierra's MatchKing bullets feature a hollow-point boat-tail design optimized for ballistic coefficient and consistency. Each bullet is manufactured to exacting standards that have earned Sierra recognition worldwide for record-setting accuracy.

Important Application Notes

MatchKing bullets are not recommended for hunting applications. While some shooters use them for varmint work, they lack the reliable expansion characteristics of Sierra's purpose-designed hunting bullets. For hunting, consider Sierra's Hornet Blitz or Varminter bullets instead.
