Bergara B-14 Ridge: Accuracy Meets Affordability
The Bergara B-14 Ridge represents a significant value proposition for hunters who demand accuracy without premium pricing. This rifle combines Bergara's world-renowned barrel manufacturing expertise with a purpose-built hunting platform.
Barrel and Action
The heart of any rifle is its barrel, and Bergara manufactures theirs in Spain using state-of-the-art techniques. The B-14 Ridge features a 20-inch, number 5 taper barrel chambered in .308 Winchester with a 1:10 twist rate—ideal for standard hunting ammunition. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 and includes a thread protector for safety and aesthetics.
The B-14 action is a two-lug bolt system with a sliding plate extractor and coned bolt nose and breech. This design ensures smooth, reliable feeding and extraction cycle after cycle. The action is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 scope bases using standard 6-48 screws.
Trigger and Stock
Bergara's curved trigger is factory-set to approximately three pounds—crisp and clean without creep. The American-style synthetic stock features a glass-fiber reinforced polymer construction with a comfortable SoftTouch finish that resists weather and wear.
