Savage A22 Target Thumbhole Rifle
The Savage A22 Target represents a thoughtful approach to semi-automatic rimfire shooting. Built on a proven straight-blowback action, this rifle delivers the reliability demanded by serious shooters while maintaining the simplicity that makes rimfire shooting accessible.
Action and Accuracy
The straight-blowback semi-automatic action cycles 22 LR ammunition with consistent reliability. A hard chrome bolt paired with a case-hardened receiver ensures durability through thousands of rounds. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows you to customize trigger pull weight for your preferred shooting style—a feature typically found on rifles costing considerably more.
Barrel and Stock
The 22-inch heavy fluted barrel is button-rifled for precision and designed to manage heat during extended shooting sessions. This is a genuine target barrel, not a compromise. The gray wood-laminate thumbhole stock provides a solid shooting platform with natural ergonomics that work equally well for bench shooting or field use.
Magazine and Capacity
A 10-round rotary magazine feeds reliably and loads easily. The detachable design allows quick magazine changes for competition or training.
Why This Rifle Matters
The A22 Target fills a genuine gap in the rimfire market. It offers target-grade accuracy and adjustable trigger control without the complexity or cost of centerfire rifles. Whether you're training for precision shooting, developing fundamental skills, or simply enjoying accurate rimfire shooting, this rifle delivers.
