Specifications and Compatibility

The Zhukov-U is designed for standard AK-pattern rifles and carbines. It is not compatible with Yugo-pattern rifles or RPK-style receivers. The handguard requires barrel diameters between 16.75 and 18.25 millimeters. Barrels shorter than 11.5 inches are not recommended due to the extended handguard length.

Installation requires permanent removal of the factory handguard retaining cap and forward sling mount. A replacement polymer top cover is included. The handguard counts as one U.S. compliance part under 922(r) regulations.
