Ruger American Predator Gen II 6.5 Grendel 22"

Ruger American Predator Gen II: Precision and Versatility

The Ruger American Predator Gen II represents a thoughtful evolution in modern rifle design. Built on a foundation of proven engineering, this rifle delivers the accuracy and reliability serious shooters demand.

Barrel and Action

The heart of this rifle is its medium-contour barrel, cold hammer-forged for ultra-precise rifling that ensures exceptional accuracy and longevity. Deep spiral flutes reduce weight at the muzzle while maintaining barrel stiffness—a smart balance that improves handling without compromising performance. The 22" barrel is threaded (5/8x24) and comes factory-equipped with a radial port muzzle brake that helps manage recoil.

The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with Ruger's familiar three-lug design and a 70-degree throw that provides ample scope clearance. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation even with gloved hands.

Trigger and Safety

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp, predictable release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds—allowing you to dial in the feel that works best for your shooting style. The three-position tang safety intuitively locks the bolt while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.

Stock and Ergonomics

The green splatter-finished synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. A soft rubber recoil pad with progressive collapse geometry reduces felt recoil while the large radius heel aids easy shouldering. Length of pull is adjustable from 13.75" down to 12" via installed spacers, with additional options available for a more refined fit. The low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics and can be removed for low-mounted sights.

Accuracy Foundation

Ruger's patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel—a proven approach to consistent accuracy. A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is ready for your optic.

Finish and Details

The professionally applied Cerakote coating on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle provides a durable, easy-to-maintain finish in Burnt Bronze. Steel sling swivel studs are factory-installed. The rifle ships with one magazine and is ready for the field or range.

The American Predator Gen II in 6.5 Grendel is a capable, accurate rifle that rewards good shooting fundamentals.
