Savage Model 2020 Waypoint: Precision Engineered for Distance
The Model 2020 Waypoint represents Savage's commitment to delivering custom-grade rifle performance in a factory offering. Built for shooters who demand accuracy and reliability, this rifle combines modern engineering with practical features that matter in the field.
Accuracy and Barrel Performance
Savage backs this rifle with a .75 MOA accuracy guarantee—a bold claim that reflects confidence in the manufacturing process. The 24-inch carbon fiber barrel reduces weight while maintaining rigidity, and the 300 PRC chambering provides the velocity and ballistic coefficient needed for extended-range shooting.
Bolt and Action Design
The fluted bolt features dual locking lugs that engage in EDM-machined raceways, ensuring repeatable lockup shot after shot. An optimized extraction cam handles tough conditions without hesitation, while dual cocking cams reduce the effort required to cycle the action. The bolt disassembles without tools for straightforward field maintenance.
Stock and Ergonomics
The 100% carbon fiber stock delivers a rigid platform while keeping overall weight manageable. The TriggerTech trigger features a low-profile, non-snag safety and employs Frictionless Release Technology for a clean, predictable break.
