Barrel and Action

The 16.1" cold hammer-forged barrel features deep spiral fluting that reduces muzzle-end weight while maintaining barrel stiffness and accuracy. A factory-installed radial port muzzle brake threads at 5/8x24, allowing for suppressor compatibility or brake customization. The medium contour profile strikes an ideal balance between weight and rigidity.

The one-piece stainless steel bolt employs the familiar three-lug design with a 70-degree throw, providing ample clearance for magnified optics. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation even with gloved hands.

Accuracy and Control

Ruger's Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp, predictable release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds—allowing you to tune the rifle to your preferences. The patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel for outstanding accuracy potential.

A three-position tang safety locks the bolt while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged—a practical feature for field work.

Stock and Ergonomics

The splatter-finished stock provides excellent grip texture without sharp edges. The installed low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics but can be removed for low-mounted sights. A soft rubber recoil pad with progressive collapse geometry reduces felt recoil and features a large radius heel for comfortable shouldering.

Length of pull adjusts from 13.75" to 12" by removing the installed spacer, accommodating different shooter builds and clothing layers.
