Barrett MRAD SMR .300 Norma Magnum Precision Rifle

Barrett MRAD SMR: Precision Meets Simplicity

Barrett's Single Mission Rifle represents a refined approach to modern precision rifle design. By focusing on a single caliber configuration, the SMR eliminates unnecessary complexity while retaining the proven performance that made the MRAD platform an industry standard.

Performance and Accuracy

The MRAD SMR delivers consistent .75 MOA accuracy, suitable for long-range shooting, tactical applications, and demanding hunting scenarios. The 26-inch fluted barrel is optimized for the .300 Norma Magnum cartridge with a 1:8 twist rate, ensuring stable bullet flight across a wide range of loads.

Streamlined Design

By removing the interchangeable barrel system found on the standard MRAD, Barrett achieved a lighter, more compact rifle:

• Weight: 12.3 lbs—nearly 2.5 lbs lighter than the standard MRAD
• Overall Length: 48.5 inches—1 inch shorter for improved handling
• 90% Parts Commonality: Maintains compatibility with standard MRAD components and accessories

Stock and Ergonomics

The fixed, non-folding stock incorporates a vertically adjustable cheek piece for optimal sight picture alignment. Separate spacers allow precise length-of-pull adjustment to fit shooters of different builds. This approach eliminates the weight and complexity of folding mechanisms while maintaining full ergonomic customization.
