Barrett MRAD SMR .300 Win Mag Precision Rifle

Barrett MRAD SMR: Precision Meets Simplicity

Barrett's Single Mission Rifle represents a refined approach to modern precision rifle design. Built on the proven MRAD platform, the SMR strips away complexity without sacrificing performance, delivering a purpose-built tool for shooters who value accuracy and reliability.

Performance and Accuracy

The MRAD SMR achieves 0.75 MOA accuracy from the factory—a standard that separates serious precision rifles from the rest. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum, this rifle delivers the power needed for extended-range shooting while maintaining the inherent accuracy the MRAD line is known for.

Intelligent Design

Unlike the modular standard MRAD, the SMR is factory-set in a single caliber, allowing Barrett to optimize every component for that specific mission. This focused approach yields tangible benefits:

• Free-float barrel held by a standard barrel nut for consistent accuracy
• 26-inch fluted barrel reduces weight while maintaining rigidity
• Fixed, non-folding stock with vertically adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull spacers
• Flat Dark Earth finish for a professional, field-ready appearance

Practical Specifications

• Weight: 12.3 lbs—nearly 2.5 lbs lighter than the standard MRAD
• Overall Length: 48.5 inches—1 inch shorter for improved handling
• Magazine Capacity: 10 rounds
• Barrel Twist: 1:8 inch for optimal .300 Win Mag performance
• Picatinny Rail: 21.75 inches with 10 MOA slope for optic mounting

The MRAD SMR is engineered for shooters who understand that sometimes the best tool is the one designed for a single, specific purpose.
