Design Philosophy

The MRAD SMR maintains 90% parts commonality with the standard MRAD, ensuring reliability and serviceability while delivering a more focused shooting tool. The free-floating barrel is held securely by a standard barrel nut, eliminating unnecessary complexity without sacrificing performance.

The fixed stock with adjustable cheek piece and spacers allows shooters to dial in their optimal shooting position for comfort and consistency—critical factors in precision rifle work.

Who Should Consider This Rifle

The MRAD SMR is ideal for shooters who want a dedicated long-range precision platform without the modularity they may never use. Whether on the range or in the field, this rifle delivers the accuracy and reliability Barrett is known for in a more efficient package.
