Barrett MRAD SMR 6.5 Creedmoor Precision Rifle

Barrett MRAD SMR: Precision Meets Simplicity

The Barrett MRAD Single Mission Rifle represents a refined approach to modern precision rifle design. By eliminating the complexity of interchangeable barrels while retaining the core strengths of the award-winning MRAD platform, Barrett has created a rifle that excels at its intended purpose without unnecessary complications.

Performance and Accuracy

Consistent .75 MOA accuracy makes this rifle suitable for long-range shooting, hunting, and tactical applications. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge provides excellent ballistics for extended-range work with manageable recoil.

Design and Handling

The SMR achieves a significant weight reduction—nearly 2.5 pounds lighter than the standard MRAD—while maintaining 90% parts commonality with the original platform. This translates to a rifle that's easier to carry and handle without sacrificing durability or reliability.

Stock and Ergonomics

• Fixed, non-folding stock with vertically adjustable cheek piece for proper sight picture
• Spacers for length-of-pull adjustment accommodate different shooter builds
• Streamlined profile reduces overall length by one inch compared to the standard MRAD

Barrel and Action

The free-float barrel is secured with a standard barrel nut and features a 1:8 twist rate optimized for 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition. The bolt-action repeater design ensures reliability and simplicity of operation.
