The Safest Introduction to Rifle Shooting
The Savage Rascal represents a thoughtful approach to youth and beginner rifle training. This left-hand model prioritizes safety and skill development through intelligent design and full-size rifle features scaled appropriately for younger shooters.
Safety First
The Rascal distinguishes itself through several safety-focused design elements:
- Cock-by-lifting bolt: Shooters chamber rounds and cock the firing mechanism by simply lifting the bolt—an intuitive, safe operation
- Unload without trigger: Remove unfired rounds without ever touching the trigger, eliminating accidental discharge risk
- Manual safety: Positive mechanical safety engagement
- Feed ramp design: Ensures reliable, smooth feeding
Superior Trigger and Accuracy
Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a crisp, predictable release with zero creep. Best of all, shooters can adjust trigger pull weight themselves—no gunsmith required. This allows the rifle to grow with the shooter's developing skills and preferences.
