Weatherby Vanguard Sporter: Timeless Elegance Meets Modern Performance
The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter represents a thoughtful return to rifle fundamentals—combining classic aesthetics with the precision engineering demanded by serious hunters. This is a rifle that respects tradition without sacrificing capability.
Accuracy You Can Count On
Guaranteed sub-MOA performance. The Vanguard Sporter delivers 3-shot groups of .99 inches or less at 100 yards when paired with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition. This level of accuracy is not marketing hyperbole; it's a promise backed by Weatherby's reputation.
Built for Precision
- Cold hammer-forged barrel ensures consistent accuracy and enhanced reliability across thousands of rounds
- Match two-stage trigger adjusts down to 2.5 pounds for crisp, predictable breaks
- 3-position safety provides intuitive, secure operation in the field
- Matte bead-blasted blued finish resists corrosion while maintaining a professional appearance
The Stock That Sets It Apart
The Monte Carlo walnut stock is Grade A Turkish walnut—not veneer, not compromise. The satin finish reveals the wood's natural character, while the raised comb provides proper cheek weld for scope work. A rosewood forend cap adds both function and visual distinction. This is a rifle that looks as good in your safe as it performs in the field.
