An integral riveted aluminum heat shield protects your hands from the front sight assembly during extended shooting sessions.

The generous front extension and protective lower lip maximize usable handguard length while shielding you from hot components—a detail that matters when you're running your rifle hard.

Modularity Through M-LOK

M-LOK accessory slots positioned at the 2, 6, and 10 o'clock positions provide genuine mounting flexibility:

• Attach optional Picatinny rail sections for optic-ready configurations
• Mount tactical lights for low-light work
• Install sling attachment points
• Add vertical grips for improved control

Installation & Compatibility

Installation is straightforward—the MOE SL uses your existing delta ring and round front handguard retaining cap. It's a direct replacement for most factory plastic mid-length handguards.

Important compatibility notes: This handguard requires a round (not triangular) retaining cap and is designed exclusively for A2 front sight assemblies. It is not compatible with piston-operated AR platforms. If your rifle has a factory sling swivel on the A2 front sight, it must be removed.
