The Ruger American Rifle Gen II represents a thoughtful evolution in modern rifle design. This 7mm-08 Remington chambering delivers excellent accuracy and manageable recoil in a package that works equally well for hunters and target shooters.

Barrel and Action

The 20-inch medium contour barrel features deep spiral flutes that reduce weight at the muzzle while maintaining the stiffness and accuracy you demand. A factory-installed radial port muzzle brake is cold hammer-forged for ultra-precise rifling and exceptional longevity. The threaded barrel accepts standard suppressors and other muzzle devices.

The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with the familiar three-lug design and 70-degree throw, providing ample scope clearance and smooth operation. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation in any condition.

Trigger and Accuracy

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds—you set it to your preference. The patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy.

Stock and Ergonomics

The gray splatter synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. A soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius on the heel for easy shouldering and progressive collapse to reduce felt recoil. The installed low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics but can be removed for low-mounted sights. Length of pull adjusts from 13.75" to 12" by removing the spacer.

Finish and Features

Professionally applied Cerakote coating on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle creates a durable, easy-to-maintain finish in gun metal gray. A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is ready for your optics.

The intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt while allowing the rifle to be loaded with safety engaged. Includes one magazine and steel sling swivel studs. An optional stock weight kit adds up to 1.6 pounds to improve balance with heavier muzzle devices.
