Modern Ruger bolt-action rifle in 6mm ARC with 20" spiral-fluted threaded barrel, adjustable trigger, gray splatter synthetic stock, and factory muzzle brake for precision shooting.
The Ruger American Gen II represents a significant evolution in practical rifle design. Built on proven bolt-action principles refined through decades of Ruger manufacturing, this rifle delivers the accuracy and reliability serious shooters demand.
The heart of this rifle is its cold hammer-forged, medium-contour barrel featuring deep spiral flutes that reduce muzzle weight while maintaining barrel stiffness. The 20" barrel is threaded (5/8x24) and ships with a factory-installed radial port muzzle brake, allowing you to add suppressors or other muzzle devices as needed.
The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with Ruger's familiar three-lug design and a 70-degree throw that provides excellent scope clearance. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation even with gloved hands.
The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp, predictable release with pull weight adjustable between 3 and 5 pounds—allowing you to dial in the exact feel you prefer. The Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel for outstanding accuracy potential.
A three-position tang safety locks the bolt and prevents inadvertent opening while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged—a practical feature for field use.
The gray splatter-finished synthetic stock provides excellent grip texture without sharp edges. A soft rubber recoil pad with progressive collapse geometry reduces felt recoil while the large heel radius aids shouldering. The installed low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics, and the adjustable length of pull (13.75" to 12") accommodates different shooters and shooting positions.
