Ruger American Gen II in .270 Winchester features a 20" spiral-fluted threaded barrel with radial port muzzle brake, adjustable trigger, and gray splatter synthetic stock with adjustable length of pull.
The Ruger American Gen II represents a refined approach to modern rifle design, combining proven mechanical principles with contemporary manufacturing and ergonomics.
The medium contour barrel is cold hammer-forged for exceptional accuracy and longevity. Deep spiral flutes reduce muzzle weight while maintaining barrel stiffness—a thoughtful engineering choice that improves handling without compromising precision. The threaded 5/8x24 muzzle accommodates suppressors or other muzzle devices, and a factory-installed radial port muzzle brake is included.
The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with the familiar three-lug design and a 70-degree throw that provides ample clearance for most optics. The oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation in all conditions.
The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds—allowing you to dial in the exact feel you prefer. The intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt while permitting the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.
The gray splatter-finished synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. The soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius heel for comfortable shouldering and progressive collapse to reduce felt recoil. An installed spacer allows length of pull adjustment from 13.75" to 12", accommodating shooters of different builds. The low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics and can be removed for low-mounted sights.
The patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy. A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is included.
