Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 9mm

Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp: The Modern Double-Stack 1911

Springfield Armory has reimagined the classic 1911 platform for the modern shooter. The Prodigy Comp takes everything that makes the 1911 legendary and adds the capacity and features today's shooters demand.

Design and Capacity

The Prodigy Comp features a double-stack magazine configuration that delivers 17+1 or 20+1 rounds of 9mm—a significant upgrade from traditional single-stack 1911s. The polymer grip module mounts securely to a forged carbon steel frame, creating a platform that's both reliable and modern.

Performance Features

Integral Compensator: The slide and barrel assembly includes an integrally compensated design that reduces muzzle rise, helping you stay on target for faster follow-up shots.

Optics Ready: The AOS-compatible slide is cut and ready for today's popular red dot sights, giving you flexibility in how you configure your pistol.

Picatinny Rail: A full-length rail under the frame accepts lights, lasers, and other modern accessories.
