Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 9mm 4.25"

Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 9mm

The Prodigy Comp represents a thoughtful evolution of the 1911 platform—one that respects the gun's storied heritage while embracing modern capacity and performance demands.

Design Philosophy

This is a double-stack 1911, which means it departs from the single-stack tradition in favor of significantly increased magazine capacity. The polymer grip module mates to a forged steel frame, creating a platform that feels familiar to 1911 shooters while delivering 17+1 or 20+1 rounds of 9mm—a substantial advantage in any defensive scenario.

Performance Features

Integral Compensator: The 4.25" barrel assembly includes an integrally compensated design that reduces muzzle rise and helps you stay on target during rapid fire. This is not a bolt-on accessory; it's engineered into the gun.

Optics Ready: The forged carbon steel slide features an AOS (Armory Optics System) cut, ready to accept modern red dot sights. The Viridian RFX11 green dot included in this package features Instant-On technology and a 30,000-hour battery runtime—meaning your optic is always ready when you are.

Match-Grade Barrel: A forged stainless steel bull barrel with 1:16 twist ensures accuracy and longevity.

Sights: Tritium front sight paired with a black serrated rear sight provides reliable aiming in low-light conditions.
