The Ruger American Gen II represents a refined approach to modern rifle design, combining practical features with genuine accuracy potential. This .300 Win Mag variant delivers the power hunters and long-range shooters demand in a package that doesn't sacrifice handling or ergonomics.

Barrel and Action

The medium contour barrel measures 20 inches and features deep spiral flutes that reduce muzzle weight while maintaining barrel stiffness. A factory-installed radial port muzzle brake tames recoil, and the entire barrel is cold hammer-forged for precise rifling and exceptional longevity. The threaded 5/8x24 pattern allows for suppressor or muzzle device customization.

The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel with Ruger's familiar three-lug design. The 70-degree throw provides ample clearance for most modern optics, and the oversized bolt handle ensures positive manipulation in any condition.

Accuracy and Handling

Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel—a proven recipe for accuracy. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a crisp release with user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds, allowing you to dial in the feel you prefer.

A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base is ready for your optic of choice.

Stock and Controls

The gray splatter synthetic stock provides excellent grip without sharp edges. The low comb improves sight alignment with magnified optics and can be removed for low-mounted sights. Installed spacers allow length-of-pull adjustment from 13.75" down to 12", and additional spacer options are available for a refined fit.

The soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius heel for easy shouldering and progressive collapse to reduce felt recoil. A three-position tang safety locks the bolt while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.

Finish and Durability

Professionally applied Cerakote coating on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle provides a durable, easy-to-maintain finish that resists corrosion and wear.

What's Included

One magazine and steel sling swivel studs come standard. An optional accessory stock weight kit is available to add up to 1.6 pounds to the butt for improved balance and recoil absorption.
