Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP Compact Rifle
The Axis 2 Pro represents Savage's commitment to delivering practical, accurate hunting rifles at an accessible price point. This compact .243 Winchester is purpose-built for hunters who demand reliability without compromise.
Design and Ergonomics
Savage has refined the Axis platform with improved ergonomics throughout. The updated bolt handle features a sleek, ergonomic design that cycles smoothly and intuitively. The Forest SP camo synthetic stock incorporates ambidextrous palm swells for secure, comfortable shooting from any position. Quick-detach sling studs come standard, allowing rapid attachment of your preferred carrying system.
Accuracy and Performance
The user-adjustable AccuTrigger is the heart of this rifle's accuracy. You can customize trigger pull weight from 2.5 to 6 pounds, allowing you to dial in the exact break that suits your shooting style. The 20-inch heavy sporter barrel features spiral fluting for reduced weight and improved heat dissipation. A 1:9.25-inch twist rate stabilizes .243 Winchester ammunition across a wide range of bullet weights.
Durability and Corrosion Resistance
The Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote finish protects both barrel and receiver from the elements. This modern coating resists corrosion far better than traditional bluing, making the Axis 2 Pro suitable for hunting in harsh conditions.
