Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit OWB Holster, Left Hand

Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit Outside-the-Waistband Holster

The Model 578 GLS Pro-Fit represents a thoughtful approach to everyday carry and duty holster design. It combines two proven technologies into a single, reliable platform.

Grip Lock System Technology

The innovative Grip Lock System (GLS) automatically secures your weapon when holstered and releases it intuitively when you apply your middle finger with a standard shooting grip. This means your draw stroke remains natural and instinctive—no awkward thumb breaks or unusual finger positions required. The system enhances safety without compromising speed or accessibility.

Construction and Materials

The holster body is crafted from SafariSeven, a lightweight nylon blend engineered for serious use:

• Non-abrasive finish protects your firearm's exterior
• Temperature tolerant performs reliably in extreme heat and cold
• Low maintenance and easy to clean
• Lightweight design reduces fatigue during extended wear

Comfort and Versatility

The holster includes both an injection-molded paddle and an adjustable injection-molded belt loop, giving you flexibility in how you carry. The adjustable belt loop allows for cross-draw positioning if desired, accommodating different body types and carry preferences.

Compatibility

The 578 GLS Pro-Fit is engineered to fit a wide range of modern handguns, including Springfield XD series (9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP in 4" and 5" barrel lengths), XD MOD.2 models, XDM series, Beretta 92 variants, and numerous other popular duty and defensive pistols.

This is a holster built for shooters who demand reliability, comfort, and intuitive operation.
