Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit Wide Frame Holster RH

Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit Holster

The Model 578 represents a thoughtful approach to everyday carry and duty holster design. It brings together two proven technologies: the Grip Lock System and SafariSeven material construction.

Grip Lock System

The GLS is an innovative retention mechanism that automatically secures your firearm when holstered. Release is intuitive—simply apply your middle finger with a standard shooting grip, and the weapon comes free naturally. This design offers a balance between security and accessibility that appeals to both experienced shooters and those new to carrying.

Construction and Materials

The holster body is crafted from SafariSeven, a lightweight nylon blend that delivers several practical advantages:

• Non-abrasive finish — Your firearm's finish remains protected
• Temperature tolerant — Performs reliably in extreme heat and cold
• Low maintenance — Easy to clean and maintain

Versatile Carry Options

The 578 includes both an injection-molded paddle attachment and an adjustable belt loop, allowing you to customize your carry method:

• Outside-the-waistband (OWB) carry with the paddle
• Belt loop carry for traditional positioning
• Cross-draw capability with the adjustable belt loop

Wide Frame Compatibility

The Pro-Fit design adjusts to securely fit over 60 different firearms, making this a practical choice if you own multiple handguns or anticipate future purchases.
