Proven Turkey Hunting Performance
The Kicks Gobblin Thunder choke tube has earned its reputation the hard way—with multiple wins at NWTF still target competitions and Ladies Open events. This .660 constriction tube transforms standard 12-gauge Remington factory-threaded barrels into dedicated turkey hunting tools.
Advanced Porting Design
Kicks employs a distinctive conical-parallel design that sets their chokes apart from conventional options. The parallel section maintains constant constriction over roughly one inch, stabilizing the shot column for superior pattern consistency.
The signature directional diagonal ports angle at 135 degrees away from the shooter, which accomplishes several critical tasks:
- Wad Separation: The sharp forward inside edges grab and slow the wad, promoting faster separation from the shot column for cleaner, denser patterns
- Reduced Recoil: Diagonal porting significantly decreases muzzle jump and felt recoil, enabling faster, more accurate follow-up shots
- Shooter Comfort: The 135-degree angle dramatically reduces side blast—a major advantage in close-quarters hunting situations like duck blinds and trap fields
- Low Maintenance: The port design resists fouling and stays clear through extended shooting sessions
Practical Specifications
The external ported section extends approximately 1¾ inches from the muzzle and remains virtually unnoticeable during shooting. Installation is straightforward in any Remington-threaded 12-gauge barrel.
Whether you're pursuing Eastern gobblers or competing in turkey shoots, the Gobblin Thunder delivers the pattern density and reliability serious turkey hunters demand.
