NWTF competition-proven turkey choke featuring conical parallel design with directional diagonal ports for cleaner patterns, reduced recoil, and faster wad separation. Fits Remington .670 threads.
Fits: Remington
The Gobblin Thunder represents serious turkey hunting engineering. This choke has earned its reputation the hard way—as a two-time winner of the NWTF still target shoot and Ladies Open Competition, plus the Jake's competition winner. When a choke wins at that level, you're looking at genuine performance, not marketing hype.
Unlike conventional chokes, the Gobblin Thunder combines a traditional conical constriction with a parallel section roughly 1 inch long where the constriction remains constant. This dual-geometry approach produces tighter, more consistent patterns downrange.
The choke's defining feature is its angled port design. Positioned at 135 degrees away from the shooter, these ports create a sharp forward edge inside the tube that grabs, stabilizes, and slows the wad. This results in faster wad-to-shot separation and cleaner patterns unaffected by wad interference.
The angled port design also delivers practical benefits:
The external ported section extends roughly 1¾ inches from the muzzle and remains unobtrusive during shooting. This choke easily converts most factory-threaded 10 and 12 gauge barrels into dedicated turkey hunting tools.
